About Our Founder

Todd Hoffman

Todd Hoffman left school at a young age, driven by a simple ambition: to build a life on his own terms. That drive fuelled his travels to 120 countries before he eventually moved into business. Along the way, he came to a simple but enduring conclusion: no matter where you are in the world, people share many of the same hopes, struggles, and aspirations, and there is no shortage of places where help is needed.

Founded in 2005, the Todd W. Hoffman Foundation grew from those experiences. It was never intended to solve every problem. Rather, it became a way of giving back to the people and communities that had welcomed Todd throughout his journey. Since then, the foundation has supported organizations working in education, healthcare, wildlife conservation, and the protection of civil liberties, with a particular commitment to improving the lives of children. Across the globe, the foundation seeks to support thoughtful work that responds to real needs and creates opportunities for generations to come.

For Todd, philanthropy is simply empathy for the human condition. Helping where you can, standing alongside those doing important work, and contributing in whatever way is possible. It is part of what we owe one another.

Our Team

Darcey Priddle

Director of Operations

Darcey is Director of Operations at the Todd W. Hoffman Foundation, where she oversees the Foundation’s operations, grant-making process, and relationships with its charitable partners around the world.

She studied Anthropology at University College London and is the founder of Project AMARA, a public charity supporting vulnerable children in Kenya. Working directly with children remains one of the most rewarding parts of her work. She enjoys encouraging them to learn, ask questions, and explore their creativity.

Our Core Mission

This Foundation exists because resources, placed thoughtfully in the hands of people already doing good work, can change lives. That belief shouldn’t waver, even as the particular causes we support shift with time and circumstance. What must endure is the spirit behind the giving: practical, compassionate, and genuinely useful to the people it reaches.
